Repair and Maintenance

Works Global meticulously evaluates every request for equipment repair and/or maintenance with regard to its present condition, schedule considerations with the client and/or budgetary constraints. We make every effort to determine if the equipment is mechanically sound and worthy of a client’s financial investment in either modifications or upgrades versus complete replacement of specific parts or an entire system. A plan of action and cost estimate is provided to the client with sufficient information which will allow them to make an informed decision.

Repairs can be unpredictable but maintenance is a preventative act. The need is predicated on actual or impending failure and is performed to safeguard the equipment while compensating for normal wear and tear. The goal is to identify potential problem areas before something malfunctions.

There are three types of clients and their approach to maintenance:

  1. Reactive maintenance: These clients subscribe to more or less “run it until it breaks.” No actions or efforts are taken to maintain the equipment according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and recommendations.

  2. Preventative maintenance: These clients want to sustain or extend the life of their equipment long after the manufacturer will no longer provide service. Actions will be performed on a scheduled basis to detect, preclude, or mitigate degradation of a component or system.

  3. Predictive maintenance: This type of client incorporates different means, methods and measurements to detect the onset of system degradation. This method allows for preemptive corrective action, better product quality, increased component operational life and a decrease in equipment or process downtime.

While malfunctions and catastrophic failures cannot always be avoided, preventative and predictive maintenance will decrease the possibility of occurrence and translate into overall cost savings. We understand every venue has unique concerns. We also understand that limited budgets drive whether a client subscribes to a Reactive, Preventative or Predictive maintenance method.

At Works Global, we are committed to support our clients with their repair and maintenance needs right where they are.

What does overall maintenance or repair performed by Works Global look like?

Control box voltage testing

Every venue has different equipment. All services are customized whether the equipment is to be repaired or routine maintenance performed. There are five primary areas where equipment components are inspected, diagnostics conducted and a plan of action executed.

  1. Mechanical
  2. Hydraulic
  3. Structure
  4. Control
  5. Safety

Following the five areas that have been assessed, a report is generated to the client. This report identifies the condition of specific components, whether corrective action was performed and if yes, what was done. The summary provides a snapshot of the equipment condition overall and includes recommendations for actions the client is asked to consider to maintain the integrity of the equipment.
